Attaching USB Storage to Enson?

In RDP connection :

On Enson Device ( For 2500 / 3100 / 3300 ) :

  • Connect the USB Media (Pendrive / External HDD with Power / Selected Models of External HDD with USB Power).

  • Go to connection manager/edit/device mapping.

  • Enable the “Storage Device” Check Box.

  • Save the Settings.

  • Now setup RDP Connection to the Server. For Models 2050/2100

  • Go to Settings/Peripherals.

  • Enable UDisk.

  • Save the Settings.

On Server:

  • My Computer / Disk On < ENSON DEVICE NAME >.

  • Now you can access your local storage.

If you connect any New USB you don’t have to repeat the process. Simply on your My Computer in RDP the device shall be visible as if you are working on a regular desktop/laptop.

In Local Linux Applications ( Only for Model 3100 / 3300 ) :

Connect the Removable device (e.g. pendrive, External portable HDD, External High Capacity HDD) in available USB port.

  • Be in your Linux environment (base ENSON environment).

  • Go to Start / File Manager.

  • You shall see your external media here. Enjoy.

Note : Most of the externally powered devices are supported in 3100 / 3300 models. A few external storage devices without external power are also supported.
